Computing at this level provides students with a good understanding of the main software programs used in business and industry. It also provides students with the skills necessary to confidently and competently use information technology in order to solve problems. The course establishes a good background for students who study other disciplines such as art, English, languages, sciences or mathematics. It is clear that the ability to handle electronic information is a key skill and basic requirement for life and employment in the 21st century. Students have the opportunity to gain the National Certificate in Computing Level 2.
